Ever dream of being a stand up comic but have no clue where to start? Do all your friends tell you, "you should be a comedian!!"? Or do you just want to be a better public speaker? Instructor Pat Oates can teach you what you need to know to get in front of crowds with confidence. In these classes you will learn everything you need to know to begin a career in comedy. You will learn how to turn those stories all your friends love into jokes that complete starngers will crack up at. You will learn how to command attention from an audience, how to convey your message and what it takes to get your name out there and become relevant in the world of comedy. And at the end of your session, you will perform on your own graduation show at Jokers Wild comedy club. And then begin your path on a career of stand up comedy.
 
Instructor
Starting in the spring of 2009, it is impressive the name John Romanoff has made for himself in New England Comedy. Not only one of the hardest working comics out there, he also produces shows. Romanoff is a house comic for New Haven counties premiere comedy club The Joker's Wild, Comedy Connection, Comix Comedy Club at Foxwoods casino, Mohegan Sun, and Turning Stone Casino. He has worked with some of the best in the business, including: Pat Oates, Otto and George, Joe Matarese, Bob Nelson, Jim Florentine, Nick DiPaolo, Patrice O'Neal. John also handles business of comedy ethically and takes as much pride in that fact than his accomplishments on stage. He is a great guy to teach new comics because despite his resume, he still feels like one. 

Enrollment
Class runs for 5 weeks, each class is 2 hours long. The classes take place at Jokers Wild Comedy club and are on Wednesdays from 6 to 8pm.  At the end of the session, the entire class will invite their friends and families to the graduation show, which every student will perform on, along with some professional comedians as well.
